Popular social media influencer and actress Hansika Krishna has broken her silence regarding the intense online controversy surrounding a video she posted via her Instagram Subscription feature. In a lengthy, emotional note shared on her social media, Hansika apologized to her followers, calling the incident a “temporary lapse of judgment” and an “impulsive mistake.”
The controversy erupted three weeks ago when a bold video from her private subscription content was screen-recorded by some users and leaked across various social media platforms. Following the leak, Hansika faced severe cyberbullying, with critics accusing her of staging a publicity stunt for monetary gain and pointing out that her subscription fee was subsequently increased from ₹299 to ₹399.
Addressing these allegations, Hansika clarified that she realized her mistake within five minutes of uploading the video and deleted it immediately, but it had already been recorded. She vehemently denied doing it for money or fame, stating that at 20, she is fortunate enough to earn her own livelihood, and her family has never lacked publicity.
Explaining the controversial price hike, she revealed that the fee was increased intentionally to discourage new users from signing up while things were spinning out of control. Furthermore, she disclosed that the entire revenue generated from the sudden surge in subscriptions has been donated completely to charity, and she did not keep a single penny for herself. While accepting constructive criticism, Hansika expressed shock at the intense cyberbullying directed at her and her family by individuals capitalizing on her mistake for views and followers. She concluded her note by thanking her supporters and asking for a second chance.
