In an emotional and powerful note shared on her social media handles, Abhirami detailed the mental agony and financial crisis she had to endure after being deceived by a trusted individual.
Abhirami shared that while attempting to expand her business, she was lured into a financial trap by a person who appeared highly professional and trustworthy. Relying on his huge promises, she had raised funds and given assurances to many. However, on the day the funds were to be transferred, the individual vanished, leaving her with massive liabilities and an shattered reputation.
The singer stated that legal proceedings are currently underway, which is why she is withholding the perpetrator’s identity. However, she warned that she would not hesitate to expose the person publicly if she finds out that this is a pattern and that more people have fallen victim to his scams.
Reflecting on her dark phase, Abhirami admitted that she had isolated herself completely, avoiding phone calls, events, and content creation as she fought anxiety, guilt, and depression.
