Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu has expressed profound grief and anger over the brutal murder of Sunitha, a native of Vadanappally, Thrissur, who worked at a dog shelter in Bengaluru. In a highly emotional video, a tearful Parvathy shared her shock over the incident, revealing that Sunitha was killed by her employer while resisting a sexual assault.
“Sunitha didn’t just die; she was murdered,” Parvathy stated in her heart-wrenching video. Calling her one of the most loving and compassionate women she had ever met, the actress shared that she knew Sunitha personally and had even visited her home. “Her employer, who killed her, is yet to be arrested and brought to justice. He killed her because she couldn’t be subjugated. This isn’t his first crime, and it probably won’t be his last,” she warned.
Sunitha was a dedicated animal lover who had previously survived a stabbing, third-degree burns, and several other accidents. She took up the job at the Bengaluru shelter solely because of the salary it offered, which she desperately needed to support her family and the 167 stray dogs she had rescued and was caring for.
“Did her kind heart lead her to her death? I just cannot comprehend this,” Parvathy wept.
Sunitha leaves behind her husband, a four-year-old son, and her beloved rescued dogs. Parvathy assured that interventions are being made to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of Sunitha’s family and the dogs. She also stated that in the coming days, efforts will be made to put the dogs up for adoption. The actress urged the public to keep the grieving family in their prayers and requested anyone willing to help the family or the animals to reach out to her directly for contact details.
