Guruvayur: Maithili Thakur, the celebrated folk singer and India’s youngest Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), visited the temple town of Guruvayur and performed a musical concert that captivated the hearts of devotees.
Representing the Alinagar assembly constituency in Bihar’s Darbhanga district on a BJP ticket, she arrived in Guruvayur to participate in the cultural and spiritual events organized by ‘Paithrukam’.
During her visit, she took part in the Lalitha Sahasranama Archana and performed the temple circumambulation (Pradakshina), offering prayers to Lord Guruvayurappan. Following the religious observances, she led a soulful Bhajan concert. Her rendition of devotional songs created a spiritually charged atmosphere, delighting the large gathering of devotees and music lovers present at the venue.
Known for her mastery over traditional folk music, Maithili Thakur’s transition into the political arena as a young legislator has been widely noted.
