Thiruvananthapuram: The revised food menu in Anganwadis will be implemented from September 8. As part of the preparations, 56 officials—including Child Development Project Officers and supervisors, four from each district—have been given state-level training, said the Director of Women and Child Development.
Those trained under the state-level TOT programme will further train Anganwadi workers and helpers in collaboration with Food Craft Institutes and Home Science institutions. Eventually, 66,240 Anganwadi staff across the state will be trained.
The model food menu will be implemented using rice supplied to Anganwadis, eggs and milk provided through the Nutrition Programme, and food materials arranged by local bodies, the Director added.
