New Delhi: The Supreme Court will on Thursday hear a petition seeking intervention for the release of Malayali nurse Nimisha Priya, who is serving a death sentence in Yemen for the murder of a Yemeni national. The Save Nimisha Priya Action Council had sought permission to travel to Yemen to negotiate her release, but the central government rejected the request citing security concerns. A bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta will hear the plea.
