The IMD has issued a yellow alert in five districts today — Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kannur, and Kasaragod — due to the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall (64.5–115.5 mm in 24 hours). Similar alerts will be in effect in various districts on August 14 and 15. Winds of 40–50 km/h are also expected during this period.
