Kozhikode: A lookout notice has been issued against actor-director Kootikal Jayachandran in the case of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl. A lookout notice was issued on Monday night in view of the possibility of the accused going abroad. The Kozhikode Sessions Court and the High Court last week rejected the actor’s anticipatory bail plea in the case.
The Kasaba police registered a POCSO case in June 2024 following a complaint by the child’s mother. After this, Jayachandran went into hiding. Since then, a special investigation team was formed and the investigation was carried out, but the actor could not be caught.
Recently, the child’s relatives had filed a complaint with the state police chief and commissioner, citing delay in action against Jayachandran in the case.
