Thiruvananthapuram: Sujith Das, the former district police chief of Pathanamthitta, who was facing serious allegations including the tree cutting case and helping a gold smuggling gang, has been suspended from service.
The action is as per the instructions of the Chief Minister. Sujith Das was removed from the post of SP after the controversial phone conversation with PV Anvar MLA came to light. The DGP sought details from Sujit Das, who was summoned to the police headquarters the other day.
