Kochi: Gold seized again at Nedumbassery International Airport. 795 grams of gold, which was hidden in the anus, was caught. Muhammad, a native of Malappuram, who arrived at the Nedumbassery airport from Muscat this morning, tried to smuggle the gold in the form of three capsules. The accused was taken into customs custody and questioned.
Yesterday, five people were arrested for smuggling gold through the Karipur airport. Air Customs officials seized 5.719 kg of mixed gold worth Rs 3 crore in Karipur.
