Kannur: Kannur University Vice-Chancellor Gopinath Ravindran said that the rank list will be rearranged according to the High Court verdict canceling the appointment of Associate Professor. Gopinath Ravindran said that Priya Varghese’s appointment was based on legal advice. However, there will be no appeal against the cancellation of Priya Varghese’s appointment. It will cost a lot of money. So he clarified that the rank list will be rearranged.
Gopinath Ravindran said that he has sought clarification from the UGC regarding the eligibility of Priya Varghese. But till now no reply has been received in this regard. The High Court judgment is applicable to the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor and Principal. Eligibility of all ranked candidates will be checked. Eligibility of Priya Varghese will also be checked. He also explained that Priya Varghese has been asked to produce more documents. Dr Gopinath Ravindran was talking to the media in Kannur.
