Palakkad: CA Rauf, the former state secretary of the banned organization Popular Front, was arrested. Rauf was caught by the NIA. The NIA team arrested Rauf last night from his house in Pattambi Karimpulli, Palakkad.
The NIA team surrounded the house and caught Rauf. After the Popular Front was banned, Rauf went into hiding. He was hiding in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
The NIA had also found that Rauf had helped many leaders to go into hiding after the ban. Last week, the NIA team raided Rauf’s house. The NIA also stated that some pamphlets were found.
The NIA had intensified its efforts to find Rauf who was absconding. Meanwhile, Rauf, who came home last night, was surrounded and arrested. Rauf was taken into custody and brought to the NIA office in Kochi.
