New virus outbreak in China; 35 people have been diagnosed with the disease

Beijing:  New virus outbreak in China. Langia virus was detected in China. 35 people in Shandong and Henan provinces have been diagnosed with the disease. The disease is caused by a pathogen called henipavirus, which is spread by animals.

The Langia virus was discovered when throat samples from people with the flu were tested. Symptoms include fever, cough, fatigue, and dizziness. There is no specific treatment or vaccine available for this infection. Everyone is under observation.

35 people contracted the virus, not through contact. Therefore, it is not confirmed whether it can spread from person to person. Langia has the potential to affect liver and kidney function.

Langia belongs to the same family as the deadly Nipah virus found in common bats. The new virus infection was confirmed before the threats of Covid and monkeypox had receded.
