The weather department has warned that there is a possibility of rain in Kerala for the next seven days. There is a rain warning in the state due to cyclonic circulation. There is no special alert in any districts today.

Meanwhile, the Central Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph (maximum 50 kmph).

A low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal near the Andhra-Odisha coast has weakened into a cyclonic vortex over Chhattisgarh. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places on Sunday.

According to the National Oceanographic Research Center, there is a possibility of high waves of 0.9 to 1.0 meters along Tamil Nadu coast till 11.30 pm tomorrow. Fishermen and coastal residents in these areas should exercise special caution.

Dissanayake dissolves Sri Lankan Parliament; The general election is on November 14

Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections; The second phase of voting has started

Srinagar: The second phase of voting for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections has started. The fate of 239 candidates in 26 constituencies is being determined. Tight security has been put in place for the polls to be held in three districts each in Jammu and Kashmir.

Lexus has temporarily suspended bookings for the LM 350H Luxury MPV in India. The company explained that the bookings have stopped due to supply chain issues and the need to fulfill existing orders.

After a global debut in 2023, the company will introduce the model in India in March 2024. The booking had started in 2023. This vehicle received 100 bookings within the first month itself.

The vehicle was launched with an attractive design with sharp styling elements including front grille, headlamps, alloy wheels and window frame. The interior offers two upholstery choices. On the feature front, it gets a 14-inch touchscreen system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the rear gets a 48-inch display, 23-speaker audio system, fold-out tables, heated armrests and reading lights. The LM 350H is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol hybrid engine that produces 190 bhp of power and 240 Nm of torque.

Shirur search; Engine part of a lorry found

An engine part of a lorry was found in Shirur. A scooter and pieces of wood were found as part of the search conducted by Ishwar Malpay and his team for the past few days. Since yesterday, the dredger has been brought and the search is being carried out. It is not possible to find out which lorry’s metal part is without the help of technical experts. Divers have been searching with the dredger since morning.

The logs were found yesterday in the same area where the engine was found. The lorry owner Manaf had also confirmed that the logs found were the same logs that were in Arjun’s lorry. The engine part has now been pulled out using a crane. But now it is clear that the engine part found belongs to a Tata lorry and not Arjun’s lorry.

Workload; A young man committed suicide

Chennai: Unable to bear the pressure of work, a young man shocked himself to death by wrapping electrical wires around his body. Karthikeyan (38), a native of Theni, Tamil Nadu, an employee of a software company, was found dead in his house at Thahampur on Old Mahabalipuram Road near Chennai.

Karthikeyan was found dead when his wife Jayarani returned from visiting the temple. Jayarani went to visit the temple with her friends after bringing her two children close to their mother. When Jayarani returned in the evening, the door was locked from inside.

Karthikeyan did not open the door despite knocking. Then Jayarani opened the door using the spare key and went inside to find Karthikeyan dead with electric wires wrapped around his body. They immediately informed the neighbors and they informed the Dhamampur police.

The police shifted Karthikeyan’s body to Chrompet Government Hospital for post-mortem. The police informed that the young man was undergoing treatment for depression for the last two months as he could not bear the pressure of work.

Karthikeyan joined a software firm in Pallavaram 15 years ago. The family says that recently they used to complain about the workload. Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
