Lucknow: Six killed in UP after a truck runs into the crowd. Three people were seriously injured in the accident. The incident took place on the Lakhimpur Kheri-Bahraich highway. Most of them are natives of Pangi Khurd. The truck lost control and ran into people standing on the roadside.
The deceased have been identified as Karan Kumar (14), Paras (85), Rizwan (16), Karunesh Verma (35), Virendra Kumar Verma (50) and Rohit Kumar (17). Officials said that while Rohit Kumar was undergoing treatment in the hospital, the other five died at the scene of the accident. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the incident. He directed to provide immediate and best treatment to the injured.
