Ottawa: A police officer who participated in the demonstration of Khalistan activists who attacked the Hindu temple in Brampton in Canada the other day has been suspended. The action was taken against Peel Regional Police Sergeant Harinder Sohi. Videos of suspended Peel Regional Police Officer Harinder Sohi participating in the demonstration holding the Khalistan flag were circulated on social media.
In the video, it is also seen that anti-India slogans were raised during the protest. Harinder Sohi reportedly received death threats on social media after his suspension from service. Peel police informed that they have noticed that the video footage is circulating on social media and an investigation is underway.
