The funeral procession carrying the mortal remains of former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will enter Alappuzha district tonight. Arriving via the national highway, the procession will turn at Kuravanthode and proceed through Old Nadakkavu Road to reach his residence.
On Wednesday morning, the body will be taken through Old Nadakkavu, Kaithavana, and Pazhaveedu to the CPM District Committee Office for public homage. The procession will then continue via Thiruvambadi, General Hospital, Collectorate, and W&C Road to reach the Beach Recreation Ground.
After public viewing at the Beach Recreation Ground, the procession will proceed through C.C.S.B Road, Kannan Varkey Bridge, Collectorate, Valiyakulam, Pulayan Vazhi, and Thiruvambadi, before arriving at the Valiya Chudukadu crematorium.
