Currently in production, Supernova will introduce new human characters alongside Titans Godzilla and Kong as they confront a cataclysmic, world-ending threat. The star-studded cast includes Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Sam Neill, and Dan Stevens, who returns as Trapper Beasley from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the franchise’s highest-grossing film to date. The script comes from Dave Callaham, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The Monsterverse, which began with Godzilla in 2014, has grown to include Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Netflix’s animated Skull Island, and Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. With Supernova, fans can expect another larger-than-life clash of Titans when it stomps into theaters in 2027.
