Thiruvananthapuram: The premium amount for the MediSep health insurance scheme for government employees and pensioners has been increased. Under the second phase, which comes into effect from January 1, the monthly premium has been revised to ₹810. At present, beneficiaries are paying a premium of ₹500 per month.
The scheme will remain in force until December 2028. MediSep provides health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh and is being implemented by the Oriental Insurance Company.
