Palakkad: The Supreme Court has granted bail to three Popular Front of India (PFI) members accused in the 2022 murder of RSS worker Srinivasan in Palakkad. The accused—Yahiya Koya Thangal, Abdul Sattar, and C.A. Rauf—were granted bail after the court observed that one’s beliefs alone should not be grounds for denying bail.
Despite opposition from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which highlighted the accused’s alleged terror links, the court allowed bail citing legal principles.
Srinivasan was reportedly murdered in retaliation for the killing of Subair, a PFI leader, according to police findings.
