RTPCR test for expatriates to be conducted free of cost: Minister Shailaja

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister KK Shailaja said that a free RTPCR test will be conducted for expatriates coming from abroad. The central government has suggested tightening checks at the airport. So the test cannot be missed. The minister said that the state government will conduct the inspection of the expatriates free of cost and send the results immediately.

The central government has announced a second wave of Covid in 16 states across the country. The number of Covid cases in the country has increased by 31 percent in the last week. In this context, the Central Government has directed to tighten airport surveillance.

Kerala was able to scientifically defend Covid. The Minister said that Kerala was able to defend itself better than other states with the full support of the people.
