Two Aides in Pahalgam Terror Attack Sent to NIA Custody

Two individuals accused of aiding terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack have been taken into five-day custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The attack, which occurred on April 22, resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. The arrested men, identified as Parvez Ahmad Jothar and Bashir Ahmad Jothar from Pahalgam, are said to have provided shelter and logistical support to the Lashkar-e-Taiba militants who carried out the assault. The investigation revealed that they had arranged temporary accommodation for the terrorists in the Baisaran valley and supplied them with food and other necessities. During interrogation, the two disclosed details about the attackers, believed to be Pakistani nationals. The NIA has charged them under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). There are also indications that the attackers fled back to Pakistan following the operation.
