The Ministry of Civil Aviation has released a new draft regulation focused on airport security. Under the proposed rules, construction around airport zones will face stricter height restrictions. Any buildings found exceeding the specified height limits will be subject to official scrutiny, and notices will be issued to their owners.
Building owners must submit the necessary documentation within 60 days of receiving such notices. Trees exceeding height limits near airports will also be removed. These steps are part of a broader safety initiative following the recent Ahmedabad airport incident.
