COVID-19 cases in India are once again showing an upward trend. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that the total number of active cases in the country has risen to 4,302. Within the last 24 hours, 276 new infections were confirmed. Alongside this, seven deaths related to the virus were also reported during the same period.
Four of these deaths occurred in Maharashtra, while Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Gujarat each reported one fatality. This brings the total number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in the country since January to 44. Kerala remains the worst-affected state, currently reporting 1,373 active cases. However, there has been a slight decrease in daily cases compared to previous days. Other states showing significant numbers include Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
