In the aftermath of the Ahmedabad plane crash, DNA identification procedures are nearing completion. So far, 210 of the 274 reported fatalities have been identified, and 187 bodies have been handed over to families. Among the unidentified victims is Ranjitha from Kerala.
The identification process has been ongoing at a laboratory operating around the clock. Collecting DNA samples from the remains posed significant challenges for authorities.
One of the few survivors, a passenger named Vishwas Kumar, has been discharged after five days of hospital care. Following police instructions, he has now been moved to a private hotel in Ahmedabad, where visitor access is currently restricted.
Multiple investigative teams continue to inspect the crash site. Even yesterday, two additional human remains were recovered from the area.
