New York: Once again Facebook Founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg proved that he is apt to the fast growing internet business world as he bought mobile messaging service WhatsApp, which came up as a challenge to FB. He will acquire WhatsApp for USD 16 billion. Whatsapp, founded by a Ukrainian immigrant college dropout, Jan Koum, and a Stanford alumnus, Brian Acton became popular within a short period, has 450 million users all over the world. Now this 450 million will be a part of FB.
Earlier, FB has tried to take over another messaging service Snapchat, for USD 3 billion and failed in the deal. On seeing the popularity of Whatsapp , Zuckerberg set plans to acquire the same.
