Supermoon with Lunar Eclipse

The rare celestial event, lunar eclipse coincides with a so-called "supermoon" has happened on Sunday. People around the world has observed the same.

It was fully visible in the skies in Europe and Africa. A supermoon occurs when the Moon is in the closest part of its orbit to Earth and the moon appears larger in the sky.This phenomenon was last observed in 1982 and won't come again until 2033.

The lunar eclipse - which made the Moon appear red - has been visible in North America, South America, West Africa and Western Europe. Across Kerla the phenomenon was partially visible because of clouds.
