Wild Fire in New Zealand; Emergency declared in the region

Wellington: The wildfire in New Zealand's southern forest range continues to be uncontrolled. More than 3,000 people have been evacuated so far.

The wildfire broke out a week ago in a forest area near Nelson, Tasman Province, New Zealand. The firefighters including 23 helicopters, 3 airplanes, and 155 firefighters arrived on the spot. But the team has not yet been able to stop the fire, reports said.

Hundreds of volunteers and the police reached here. At least 3,000 people abandoned left houses.  There are around 70000 people affected in the wildfire.
