Heaviest rainfall in Philippines; Death toll rise to 200, 160 Missing

Manila: The death toll in a major hurricane after a storm in the Philippines, rose to over 200. Officials said the number of deaths has been attributed to heavy rains in many places.

The rescue operation is still in progress and the wind is still hurting at 80 to 95 kilometers per hour, "the official said. Bridges and roads were damaged in 39 cities following the rains. It is reported that the rescue worker has been seriously affected.

Deaths are likely to rise again. The victims of the disaster relief claim that many people are trapped in the soil.
