The Center will provide more Army for Rescue Works in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly said Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan that will provide more army assistance to the state government to the rescue relief efforts in the wake of the vibrant flood situation in the Kerala state. Prime Minister today said he has spoken to the chief minister of Kerala about the situation in the state and said it has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to strengthen rescue and relief efforts.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that more NDRFTs will be brought soon to Kerala. The central has been constantly in touch with the Chief Minister regarding the floods. The center will provide all possible assistance.

According to the request made by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, many more boats and life jackets will be provided to rescue those straying in the floods, Minister of State for Defense Nirmala Sitharaman said. They also informed that more Air Force helicopters will be deployed.
