Thrissur: A Kerala man arrested for fraud crores from Qatar royal family. The accused Sunil Menon (47) is a native of Paravoor in Eranakulam. He was arrested from Kodungalloor in Thrissur. He was a computer expert and he created fake E-mail accounts for the fraud. According to police Sunil has duped from Qatar royal family member and illegally amassed a sum of Rs 5.2 crore. Menon had been working in various countries, including Qatar, for the past 15 years.

According to the complaint received by the police, the accused had offered to sell the gold-plated paintings of Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Qatar Museum Authority.

He got arrested while trying to escape from the country, police added.
