Yogi to Construct 100- meter Tall Statue of Sri Rama on the Sarayu Coast

UP: Yogi Adityanath Government is preparing to construct a monumental Sri Rama statue on the Saryu coast of Ayodhya. The statue is part of the ‘Nawa Ayodhya’ project and the 100-meter tall statue has now been decided but the decision is not final.

The state tourism department has submitted a report to Governor Ram Naik for promoting pilgrims tourism, "Raj Bhavan official statement said.

Apart from Lord Rama's statue, there is a construction of the Ramaka Katha Gallery and Digamber Akad Auditorium also included in the project at the coast of Saryu River. The decision will be taken only after the approval of the National Green Tribunal.

The government has submitted a project report of Rs 195.96 crore to the Union Tourism Ministry for the development of Ayodhya. Of this, only Rs 133.70 crore has been sanctioned.
