Vande Bharat express flagged off by PM

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off India's first semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express.

The flagged off was done at the New Delhi Railway Station. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Railway Board members were also present on the first journey in the train. The train's flag was without any celebrations or aesthetics in the wreckage of attacks on CRPF personnel.

The train will run from Delhi to Varanasi by 9 hours and 45 minutes. Modi has evaluated rail services on the Railway Station. The Vandhe Bharat Express, which speeds up to 160 km per hour, has 16 AC coaches. 1,128 passengers can travel.

The first indigenously trained train named 'Train 18' is on the Delhi Varanasi route. For Delhi - Varanasi AC Chaircar should pay Rs 1,850 and executive class Rs 3,520. This included food prices.
