There are only 4 voters in this village

Koriya: In a village in Chhattisgarh have only four voters to record their votes. This is the situation in polling booth number 143 at Sherandhand in Bharatpur-Sonhat assembly constituency. All three are from the same family.

The polling team should take miles to reach Sherandandh, which is the polling booth situated. The mountains with five to six km and a river have to cross to reach their polling booth, District Election Officer NK Dugga said. In the absence of proper roads, the election authorities tied a tent there.

This village is located around 15 km from the main road.

Voting is in two phases in Chhattisgarh. The first phase will be held in 18 assembly constituencies in the south of the state on November 12 and the second phase on November 20. Counting of votes in two phases will take place on December 1.
