The Congress has said that there is no alliance with the CPI (M) in Tripura in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Congress party vice-president Tapas Day said there was no chance for the alliance.

We have asked the high command that the CPI (M) and the Congress have no alliance in West Bengal. But if we decide to have an alliance at the national level, we welcome it. Tapas Day, however, said that a coalition between the CPI (M) is not capable of taking part in Tripura.

CPIM has killed many of our leaders in the past two decades. The BJP is now running the demolition of Tripura, which started the Left. Tapas Day also said that we are inviting all parties against CPI (M) and BJP.
