Shiv Sena district coordinator Ghanshyam Shelar and the cadre have left the party protesting against the BJP alliance. Shelar said he had pointed out the fault of the BJP and could not make a campaign for the BJP.

"The leadership has been asked to start election campaigning in Ahmednagar. I have held a rally also. It has been earlier said that there is no alliance with the BJP with any reason'', he said.

"For the past three years, I have criticized the BJP's mistakes and criticized them. Now how will I go to campaign for this alliance? That's why I and my cadre left the party, "says Sheler.

Shelar, who was NCP's district president, came to the Shiv Sena three years ago. Shiv Sena claims that the Shelar's intention to contest in the elections will be a hindrance if the BJP alliance comes in true. And this may be provoked him, claim Siva Sena.

The BJP and the Shiv Sena have joined hands on 18th of this month. BJP president Amit Shah, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis informed the joint press conference.
