New Delhi: The Supreme Court will consider the public interest litigation in connection with Rafael deal in this month of 10.

One of the petitions is to ask the Center to submit the details of the agreement made with France to purchase fighter jets to be submitted before the Supreme Court.

The bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had already been listened to by October 10 demanding a referendum on Rafael transaction. Both the petitions will be considered jointly by the Supreme Court.

The Public Interest Litigation has been filed with lawyer M L Sharma to stay Rafael Agreement. The petition alleges that the transaction was not an endorsement of Parliament and that the scam was corrupt. Congress leader Tehseen S Poonwala has approached the Supreme Court seeking an independent inquiry into the case. The Congress leader has also demanded the disclosure of price of Rafael fighter jet in parliament.
