Polling began in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram

Bhopal / Isol: The polling began in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram. Voting started in Mizoram from 7 am to 4 pm and eight to five in Madya Pradesh While voters in Madhya Pradesh will cast their votes for 230 constituencies, people of Mizoram will go for the same exercise for 40 constituencies. The counting will be held on December 11.

Congress Party president Rahul Gandhi was active in the campaign. BJP's campaign was led by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with voices of promises to voters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended 10 rallies in the state.

The BJP is trying hard to raise a challenge against the Congress in Mizoram. The Congress and the main opposition Mizo National Front are competing for all seats. BJP has candidates in 39 seats. The Zoram People's Movement and the two regional parties compete in 35 seats.
