Justice J Chelameswar will retire today

New Delhi: Justce J Chelameswar will retire today. He is at 65 years old. Justice Chelameswar will retire after serving seven years in the Supreme Court. May 18 was the last working day of the Supreme Court. The court was closed for summer vacation. Chelameshwar is one of the three senior judges broke out riot agaisnt Chief Justice Dipak Misra.

This was the first such event in the history of that the Supreme Court justices held pressmeet against Chief Justice on January 12, in the Loya's case.

Chelleshwar was born on 23 June 1953 in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He was educated in Hindu high school at Machilipatnam  and Chennai loyola college. After graduating from physics, he graduated from Andhra University with law degree.

In 1995, he became a senior consul. On October 13 the same year, he became the additional Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh. On June 23, 1997, he was appointed as additional judge in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and later as a judge. He worked in Guwahati and Kerala High Courts. He became Chief Justice of Kerala High Court on March 17, 2010. On October 10, 2011, he was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court.
