Mumbai: Three main airports in India- Hyderabad-Mumbai-Chennai- airports put on hijack alert, due the airport officials received hind that a group plan to hijack planes in these airports. The hijacks, which according to the information received will be carried out by a team of 23 people, have led to the security agencies to put all the three airports on high alert.
An Airport Security Coordination Committee meeting was held on Saturday in response to the threat. It would be prudent for passengers who plan to board flights from these three airports to check-in on time and avoid last-minute delays.
The message received on mail, sources said. CISF director O P Singh said that the security has tightened in the airport premises. More security officers deployed in the airport, the situation is under control, reports said.
