Bhopal: The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has banned Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'. Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan said the film would not be screened in the state.

The Kshatriya Rajputs also has come up against the releasing of Padmavathi in the forefront of Lok Sabha polls. They alleged that this film will overturn the history of the Rajaputs. The main characters in this film, Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavathi are falling in love, is the fake history, which high lighting in this film, they added. 

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are playing the lead roles of Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavathi. BJP has announced a five-crore bounty for the killing of Banzali and Deepika for acting in Padmavathi. The film's releasing date was postponed earlier after the protest. The first decision was to release onDecember 1st. But the censor board has not given the sanction to the film anymore.
