Alok Verma was dismissed from the CBI director's post

The Alok Verma who has appointed as CBI director, on the order of Supreme Court has been expelled from the post. The selection committee chaired by the Prime Minister decided this. Alok Verma has been expelled after the two-and-a-half hour selection committee meeting. Supreme Court Judge AK Sikri, who participated in the committee's meeting, supported the expelling of Verma.

Opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge rejected the decision.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had canceled the central government order to shift Alok Verma.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the decision of the CBI to appoint the Director of the CBI should be decided by the selection committee.

The Alok Verma joined on the post in this month after the Supreme Court canceled the order of the Central Government.

The court ruled that the decision should not be taken in the matter of day-to-day operations until the decision of the higher committee. His period was until 31st January.

Alok Verma ordered an inquiry into the cases against the deputy director Rakesh Asthana.
