Karkadakam is the month we need to pay most attention to food. The malayalam month of Karkkadaka, malayalee's making Karkkadaka Kanji. This is rice pudding which makes with medicinal herbs. This pudding will increase the immunity power and keep away from the seasonal diseases.

Mainly ten herbs like, mukkotty, Poovamkurinji, Oru Cheviyan, Thazhuthama, Neelamari, Krishnakranthy, Ellurukki, Thulasi etc are the main ingredients in the recipe. Using rice or navara rice we can make Karkkadaka Kanji with adding coconut milk for taste.

It is also a traditional food which can clean stomach and protects from digesting problems.
